TPCC president T Jagga Reddy has strongly opposed BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao’s criticism of Rahul Gandhi. Speaking at a media conference on Thursday, he asserted that the Congress party does not fear “jackals.” He pointed out that Rahul Gandhi undertook a 4,000 km padayatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, while KCR has not even walked 10 km.
Jagga Reddy also spoke about Telangana’s financial situation. He said that when Telangana was formed, it was a surplus state, but under KCR’s rule, it has fallen into debt. He praised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka for working hard to improve the state’s finances.
He criticised KCR for supporting the BJP government by passing all bills in Parliament. He questioned why KCR had failed to secure the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) project, which could have benefited Telangana’s youth.
Jagga Reddy urged Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar to take a special interest in getting ITIR approved for Hyderabad. He assured that he would continue to remind them until the project is sanctioned.
When asked about BRS MLC Kavitha’s comments, Jagga Reddy said he sympathized with her struggles during her four-month imprisonment. However, he questioned the need for baseless political criticism against the Chief Minister. He warned her to stop calling him ‘Pink Book,’ saying that if Revanth Reddy reacted, she would not like it.
Jagga Reddy reaffirmed his loyalty to the Congress party. He said he would continue to follow the party high command’s orders, regardless of the position he holds. He emphasized that for him, the party is more important than any political role.
He also spoke about his long involvement in state politics. He mentioned that he has served as a councilor, municipal chairperson, and MLA of Sangareddy. He reiterated that he would remain active in politics, no matter the election results.
