AMARAVATI: YSR Congress Party president and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has given clear instructions to the party’s MPs. He wants them to talk about the recent violent incidents in Andhra Pradesh in the Parliament. Jagan is also demanding the President’s Rule in the state.
During a meeting with the 15 Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs at the YSRCP camp office in Tadepalli, Guntur district, Jagan shared his deep concerns. He pointed out that the law and order situation in the state is getting worse. Jagan mentioned attacks on YSRCP leaders and workers, especially noting a recent murder in Vinukonda as an example of the violence. He urged the MPs to push for a discussion in Parliament about these attacks and to call for President’s Rule.
Jagan also said he has asked for meetings with President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to talk about the state’s issues. He told the MPs to set up these meetings on the same day as their planned protest on July 24. Jagan suggested inviting other supportive parties to join the protest to put more pressure on the state government.
He mentioned that these ongoing incidents are making the public angry with the coalition government. Jagan emphasized that strong warnings should be sent to Chandrababu Naidu, stating that the violence won’t stop without a fight. He also said protests will be held during Assembly sessions to highlight the violent conditions. Jagan stressed that it is a collective responsibility to protect party workers and said that persistent struggle is needed to stop the violence.
