    Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has assured farmers that the civil supplies department will buy all the damaged paddy due to cyclone Michaung. In a review meeting with officials, the Chief Minister urged farmers not to worry about their wet paddy. He also asked MLAs to reassure farmers that the government will support them and that the civil supplies department will purchase discoloured and stained grain. The officials will be flexible in purchasing grain to benefit the farmers. The civil supplies department will take responsibility for purchasing and transporting the grain to mills through Rythu Bharosa Kendrams (RBKs). The State Government is also providing input subsidies to farmers on time.

    The Chief Minister directed officials to provide compensation under YSR free insurance to those affected by crop loss and support every affected person. The crop enumeration process began on December 11 and will continue until December 18. Social audits will be conducted from December 19 to 22. Amendments and objections will be considered from December 23 to 25, and the final lists will be sent to the State Government by the district collectors on December 26. The Chief Minister advised officials to disburse input subsidies to farmers before Sankranti.

    Minister for Housing Jogi Ramesh, MLAs Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao (Nani), Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani), Samineni Udayabhanu, Simhadri Ramesh, Special Commissioner of Agriculture C Hari Kiran, Civil Supplies Department managing director G Veerapandian, and Civil Supplies Commissioner Arun Kumar were also present at the meeting.
