The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, started his 21-day campaign trail from Proddatur in Kadapa district. He spoke about the murder of his uncle, Y S Vivekananda Reddy, saying that the person responsible is still free. He urged the people to defeat the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance in the upcoming elections.
Jagan accused Nara Chandrababu Naidu of dividing his family and using his sisters against him. He also criticized Naidu for blaming YSRCP for a drug-related incident involving relatives of prominent politicians. Jagan highlighted the welfare programs implemented by his government and warned that voting for the TDP combine would endanger these initiatives.
The Chief Minister began his campaign by paying tribute to his father, former CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy, and seeking blessings from his mother Vijayamma. He traveled through various towns in the region, where he was warmly welcomed by supporters who lined up to greet him.
During the bus yatra, Jagan interacted with different groups of people and received feedback on government functioning. The tour is scheduled to cover 21 districts and 148 Assembly constituencies, allowing Jagan to engage directly with the public and hold public meetings in areas not previously visited.
The ‘Memanta Siddham’ bus tour aims to connect with grassroots communities and provide Jagan with an opportunity to address public concerns in regions that may have been overlooked in the past.
