Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of Kakinada has urged people to be cautious of the tricks and schemes of opposition parties. These parties are planning to form unholy alliances and create divisions within families for their own political benefit. The Chief Minister made this statement during a public meeting where he launched the upgraded monthly social pension distribution.

During his speech, Chief Minister Jagan advised the people not to be swayed by false promises made by the TDP and Jana Sena parties. He highlighted that the government is spending around Rs 1,968 crore every month on social pensions. The distribution of pensions is done transparently and without any bias towards caste, creed, or political affiliations, unlike the previous TDP rule.

He also emphasized the difference between the current situation and the time when the TDP was in power. He mentioned various welfare schemes like Amma Vodi, Rythu Bharosa, YSR Aasara, Kapu Nestam, Netanna Nestam, Vahana Mitra, EBC Nestam, Jagananna Thodu, and Jagananna Chedodu. The government has spent a total of Rs 2,46,000 crore on these schemes in the last 55 months.

Chief Minister Jagan criticized the TDP for their corrupt practices and lack of progress in housing schemes for the poor. He also mentioned the hypocrisy of actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan, who complained to the central government about housing for the poor. The Chief Minister stated that these actions only exposed his hypocrisy.

The number of social pensioners has increased to 66.34 lakh in 2024 from 39 lakh during the TDP rule. The government has spent Rs 83,526 crore on pension distribution alone in the last 55 months. Chief Minister Jagan cautioned the people against the false promises of the opposition parties. He assured them that he relies on their support and the guidance of God, unlike the TDP, which resorts to bribing voters with gold and luxury cars.

In response to a request from the local MLA, the Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 47 crore for water pipelines in the Jagannadhapuram area of Kakinada.
