VIZIANAGARAM: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the former Chief Minister and president of the YSR Congress Party, has accused the Chandrababu Naidu-led government in Andhra Pradesh of engaging in diversion tactics. He claimed that the government was focusing on personal issues related to his family to distract from the real problems in the state.

Jagan made these comments on Thursday during a visit to Gurlam in the Vizianagaram district. He was there to meet victims suffering from a diarrhoea outbreak and to offer his condolences to the families who had lost loved ones to the illness.

Speaking to the media, Jagan emphasised that every family has its own problems, and urged the government to stop focusing on personal matters. He called for the state government to address the actual challenges faced by the public, instead of trying to divert attention. He also criticised the Chandrababu government for failing to deliver on promised initiatives, particularly the “Super Six” schemes.

Jagan expressed his frustration over the government’s lack of action in response to the diarrhoea outbreak. He questioned why the government hadn’t provided aid to those affected and accused it of being indifferent to the suffering of the victims. He assured the affected families that his party, the YSRCP, would support them. Jagan also highlighted how, during his party’s rule, they had improved conditions in villages through the services provided by village secretariats.
