Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy accused TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu of deceiving farmers by failing to fulfill promises of loan waivers. He distributed financial assistance under the YSR Rythu Bharosa and Sunna Vaddi Panta Runalu schemes.

Jagan criticized Naidu for announcing a farm loan waiver of Rs 87,612 crore but not following through after coming to power. He highlighted the impact of Naidu’s actions on farmers, including scrapping the zero-interest subsidy scheme.

The Chief Minister emphasized that during Naidu’s tenure, farmers paid substantial amounts annually in interest and compound interest. The financial support under the Rythu Bharosa and Sunna Vaddi Panta Runalu schemes benefited a large number of farmers in the state.
