Efforts to Improve Basic Facilities for Kondareddi Tribals in Pusukunta Village

Bhadrachalam: ITDA Project Officer B Rahul has emphasized the need to provide essential facilities for the Kondareddi tribal community living in Pusukunta village. He urged officials to prioritize electricity, roads, and agriculture-related works to ensure that the tribal residents do not face any difficulties.

On Wednesday, Rahul held a special meeting with officials from the horticulture, agriculture, electricity, and forest departments in his office. The discussion focused on addressing the immediate needs of the village and planning the necessary infrastructure improvements.

He explained that during the recent visit by Telangana State Agriculture and Handloom Marketing Department Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, villagers requested better roads, electricity for farming, and boreholes for water supply. In response, proposals for these facilities were submitted to the relevant authorities.

Rahul instructed the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department to begin road construction work this week and to start building culverts by the 31st of this month. He also directed officials to drill boreholes to ensure a steady water supply and to provide electricity connections for the village.

To support farmers engaged in horticulture and agriculture, ITDA will provide motors to aid irrigation. Since 70% of the electricity cost is subsidized, ITDA plans to cover the remaining 30% through special proposals, ensuring affordable access to electricity for the farmers.

These efforts aim to improve the quality of life for the Kondareddi tribal community and support their agricultural activities.
