Wipro’s Chief Financial Officer, Raghavan, participated in the meeting and provided an update to the Minister about the company’s operations and progress in Hyderabad. The discussion focused on opportunities for collaboration between Wipro and the State’s initiatives.

The Minister stressed the importance of industry-driven training programs at the Skills University. He encouraged Wipro to play an active role by directly training and recruiting talent that aligns with the company’s specific needs. This approach, he said, would bridge the gap between education and industry requirements.

As an example, Sridhar Babu highlighted an ongoing collaboration with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, which is currently providing tailored training to 80 unemployed youth to meet its workforce demands. He expressed hope that similar partnerships could be formed with other companies.

Additionally, the Minister urged Wipro to explore the idea of setting up FMCG production units in Tier-2 cities of Telangana. He emphasized that such initiatives would take advantage of local talent and infrastructure, contributing to the State’s economic growth.
