    IT Minister KTR and Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy laid the foundation stone for a 300 crore Oil Palm Industry in Sanki Reddi Pally of Vanaparthi district. KTR addressed a public meeting at Wanaparthi Politechnic college with MLA ala Venkateswara Reddy, MP Manne Srinivas Reddy, and MP Ramulu also in attendance.

    During the meeting, the special mission Bhageeratha scheme, constructed at a cost of 425 crores, was launched at Bugga palli Tanda. Additionally, 96 double bedrooms were opened at Rajapet of Wanaparthi district.

    KTR mentioned that Telangana has become the leader in rice production in the country. He criticized the central government for imposing uncertain conditions on procuring paddy producers in the state. KTR advised farmers to take up oil palm cultivation, as it can provide an average income of 12 thousand rupees per acre per month. He emphasized that the Telangana government is promoting modern farming methods and urged farmers to utilize the services of scientists and officials.

    KTR highlighted the success of Palamuru farmers, stating that migration has transformed into irrigation in Palamuru. He mentioned that the Palamuru Rangareddy irrigation project will change the landscape of Palamuru by diverting water from the Krishna river to its wastelands. KTR also expressed confidence that BRS will win the election and KCR will become CM again.

    Agriculture Minister Singi Reddy Niranjan Reddy stated that the country needs 22 million tonnes of oil annually but imports 15 thousand million tonnes every year. He emphasized the benefits of oil palm cultivation for farmers and shared that it is currently grown in 1 lakh 25 thousand acres in Telangana, with 5 thousand acres in Wanaparthi district alone. He praised CM KCR for transforming the once-drought-stricken area into a place of abundant water and crops.

    Niranjan Reddy explained that zones have been divided district-wise for the promotion of oil palm cultivation and handed over to companies. He mentioned that while oil palm was previously cultivated in 39 thousand acres in 35 years, new cultivation has now reached 1 lakh 22 thousand acres and will soon expand to 2 lakh acres. He credited CM KCR for initiating crop rotation and encouraging oil palm cultivation to strengthen agriculture.

    The meeting was also attended by MPs Potuganti Ramulu and Manne Srinivas Reddy, MLA Ala Venkateswara Reddy, Corporation Chairperson Rajani Sai Chand, Valya Nayak, Aanja Neya Goud, and ZP Chairperson.
