A proposed padayatra of State BJP leaders, including former TS chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar, has been postponed. Party sources say that several leaders had suggested a mass contact program similar to the ‘Praja Sangrama Yatra’ in order to gain momentum. Previously, it was believed that three leaders would participate in the padayatra. However, the proposal has not received support from the leaders themselves.

There are a few reasons for this. Firstly, G Kishan Reddy, the newly appointed State BJP chief and Union Minister, still holds three portfolios and needs to act as a bridge to unite the party in Telangana. Taking a padayatra at this crucial time before the elections would be practically impossible for him. Secondly, Eatala Rajender, the Selection Committee chairman and Huzruabad MLA, has not responded to the proposal. Lastly, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, as the party chief, needs to focus on pending development works in his constituency and tour the State for various activities. Therefore, he has decided to prioritize completing these works during the remaining period of his tenure.
