In Hyderabad, a senior irrigation official revealed that the previous BRS government added six extra vents to the second Block A of the Sundilla barrage without including them in the Detailed Project Report (DPR).

Fazal, a superintendent engineer from the Central Design Organisation (CDO), testified before the Justice Ghose Commission on the Kaleshwaram project on Friday. He stated that the cross sections of the dams were approved based on reports from the Kaleshwaram Chief Engineer (CE) without any site inspections.

The Kaleshwaram CE had recommended the use of secant piles in the construction of the Medigadda Dam, following advice from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal.

The six additional vents in the second Block A of Sundilla were not part of the original design plans. Their construction was carried out based on a decision made by the cabinet.
