The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has uncovered a massive corruption case involving Irrigation Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Nikesh Kumar. This case is being described as the second-largest operation in the history of the ACB. It centers on illegal permissions granted for construction in buffer zones, which allegedly allowed Nikesh Kumar to amass enormous wealth.
According to the ACB, Nikesh Kumar has accumulated assets worth a staggering ₹600 crore. These include luxury villas located in Nanakramguda, Shamshabad, and Gachibowli. He also owns a four-story hostel in Narsingi, three farmhouses in Moinabad, and three acres of land in Tandur.
The bureau has already seized one kilogram of gold from the homes of Nikesh Kumar’s relatives. Tomorrow, the ACB plans to open the lockers of his relatives to uncover more hidden assets. Authorities are also investigating properties that might be held under the names of his associates or benamis (fronts).
This high-profile case highlights the alarming level of corruption and underscores the need for stricter regulations in granting construction permits, especially in sensitive areas. The ACB is continuing its investigation to fully expose the scale of this scandal.
