International Yoga Day | City Bureau, June 20 (Namaste Telangana): With the passage of time, various changes are occurring in the lifestyle of human beings. In the urban lifestyle, stress and pollution are affecting the quality of life. Therefore, yoga teachers are suggesting incorporating yoga into daily routine to maintain good health. They claim that yoga can achieve complete wellness and also help in preventing hereditary diseases. Yoga was introduced to the world by our ancestors and currently it is being practiced worldwide. Yoga practitioners are advocating the numerous health benefits of yoga. On the occasion of International Yoga Day, many yoga teachers have expressed their opinions. They suggest practicing asanas daily, especially those that stretch the spine, to relieve back pain.
Bhujangasana: This is a Cobra pose. It strengthens and stretches the heart and lungs, as well as the abdominal muscles. Bhujangasana can also provide relief from lower back pain. Ustrasana: This is a Camel pose. It helps in improving digestion and strengthens the body. Tadasana: Practicing Tadasana daily improves blood circulation. It also helps in maintaining a steady heartbeat. Savasana: In this asana, one needs to lie down without any movement, just like a corpse. Savasana relieves tension from the body and reduces stress. Apart from these, yoga teachers suggest various other asanas and provide guidance and advice.
After leaving the software industry, I have been researching on yoga and mudras. My father, Dharani Pragada, has been teaching mudras for 25 years and has gained recognition as a yoga teacher. Together, we have published three books on complete hand yoga science. I have been working as a therapy yoga teacher and pregnancy yoga teacher for the past few years. I am providing training for normal deliveries to pregnant women. On the occasion of International Yoga Day, I am conducting free yoga classes at the Hex Exhibition Centre in collaboration with the Ayush Department.

Health benefits of yoga…
Practicing yoga daily can provide numerous health benefits. Especially in the urban lifestyle, yoga has become an essential part of daily life. I have been working as a yoga teacher for the past few years. Yoga should be considered as the first and foremost activity for achieving complete wellness. It helps in reducing stress, improving digestion, heart rate, and nervous system. If everyone practices yoga daily, we can build a healthier society.
