    Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad has been awarded for providing excellent services to passengers. The airport was named the best in the Asia-Pacific region for 2023 in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) category by the Airports Council International (ACI) annual awards.

    The airport serves 1.5 to 2.5 crore passengers each year, competing against 400 other airports worldwide for this prestigious award. The winner is chosen based on more than 30 performance indicators. Pradeep Panikar, the CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport, expressed his joy at receiving the award and dedicated it to all airport staff.

    As part of the airport’s expansion plan, new facilities and infrastructure have been added to the terminal and airside areas. This award recognizes the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in managing the airport.
