Satyendar Jain, a former Delhi minister who has been in jail since May last year due to a money laundering case, has been granted interim bail on medical grounds. He collapsed in Tihar Jail and was admitted to the ICU of a government hospital. The Supreme Court allowed him six weeks to undergo treatment in a hospital of his choice. Jain has to produce medical records by July 10.
The Aam Aadmi Party leader, who is 58 years old, will be able to receive medical care outside of jail. The court has granted him this relief because of his medical condition.
