Khammam: The Government Prepares to Launch Indiramma Houses Programme
The state government is making preparations to implement the much-awaited Indiramma Houses programme. This initiative aims to provide affordable housing for eligible beneficiaries across the state.
In Kusumanchi mandal headquarters, located in the Palair Constituency, the housing department has constructed the first model house under this programme. This area falls under the constituency of Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, who serves as the minister for housing and revenue.
Construction of the model house began on December 13 on the premises of the tahsildar office. The house is expected to be inaugurated soon by Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.
The 400-square-foot model house was built at a cost of Rs 5 lakh. It features essential facilities, including a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room, showcasing the basic amenities that beneficiaries can expect.
The full-scale construction of Indiramma houses will officially begin on January 26. This will follow the process of selecting beneficiaries who qualify for the programme.
