Jogulamba Gadwal District Collector Urges Completion of Indiramma Housing Survey by December
Jogulamba Gadwal District Collector B.M. Santosh has instructed officials to complete the data collection for Indiramma housing applications by the end of December. This directive aims to ensure timely progress in identifying eligible beneficiaries for the government housing scheme.
On Wednesday, a video conference was held by State Revenue, Information, and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. The meeting, conducted from the Secretariat in Hyderabad, included Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, Telangana Public Service Commission (TSPSC) Chairman Burra Venkatesham, Government Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, and other senior officials. Topics discussed included Indiramma housing applications, preparations for the upcoming Group 2 exams, improvements to student diet plans, and inspections of welfare hostels.
District Collector B.M. Santosh, along with SP Srinivas Rao and Additional Collectors Lakshminarayana and Narsing Rao, participated in the meeting from the Integrated District Collectorate. Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy praised officials for completing recent surveys and stressed the importance of showcasing the government’s achievements over the past year.
Indiramma Housing Data Collection Underway
The Indiramma Housing App, launched by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on December 5, has received approximately 80 lakh applications statewide. In Jogulamba Gadwal District alone, 1,46,832 applications have been submitted, and 1,987 have been surveyed so far. To expedite the process, one surveyor will be assigned for every 500 applications, with the goal of completing the survey within 20 days.
Housing committees in panchayats, municipalities, and corporations will assist in coordinating the survey. Surveyors are required to visit applicants’ homes, verify their housing status, and capture photographic evidence. The collected data will be used for planning over the next four years.
Enhanced Diet Menu for Students
The government has announced a 40% increase in diet charges for students in residential schools, welfare hostels, model schools, and KGBVs. The enhanced menu will be formally launched on December 14, with parents, especially mothers, invited to the event. Special meals will be served to students on the launch day, and flex banners showcasing the new menu will be displayed at all institutions.
Group 2 Exams Scheduled for December 15-16
TSPSC Chairman Burra Venkatesham confirmed that the Group 2 exams will take place on December 15-16 in two sessions. In Jogulamba Gadwal District, 9,610 candidates will appear for the exams at 25 centers. OMR sheets will be used, and strict measures are in place to ensure error-free execution of the exams.
District authorities have been tasked with widely publicizing the exam schedule to ensure timely arrival of candidates. Security arrangements, including police escorts, will be in place for the safe transport of question papers and OMR sheets. Collector B.M. Santosh assured that all necessary facilities have been arranged at exam centers, and awareness campaigns have been conducted to inform candidates.
Officials Attend Video Conference
Several officials attended the video conference, including ZP CEO Kantamma, Group 2 Exam Coordinator Rammohan, District Panchayat Officer Shyam Sundar, Housing DE Virender, AE Prakash, SC Corporation ED Ramesh Babu, and Scheduled Caste Development Officer Saroj. The meeting emphasized the need for efficient execution of all ongoing projects and initiatives.
