    A penumbral lunar eclipse is set to take place on May 5th, 2023. It will be visible from various regions such as India, Russia, Europe, and Asia. During a penumbral eclipse, the Moon passes into a lighter region of Earth’s shadow. People in India can observe the astronomical event with their naked eyes if the sky is clear. If not, they must use binoculars or a telescope. The lunar eclipse will begin at 08:44 p.m. and end at 01:01 a.m. (IST) on May 6th, 2023.

    The lunar eclipse in 2023 will occur on May 5th, and it will be called the Penumbral Lunar Eclipse. This is when the Moon passes into the lighter outer area of Earth’s shadow. The penumbral lunar eclipse can be viewed from all over India, as well as from Asia, Australia, Russia, Central and East Africa, Antarctica, and some parts of Europe.

    The lunar eclipse start timing is May 5th, 2023 – 08:44 p.m. (IST), and the end timing is May 6th, 2023 – 01:01 a.m. (IST). The peak time is May 5th, 2023 – 10:52 p.m. (IST).
