    Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the bravery of people and disaster management personnel who fought against cyclone Biparjoy in Gujarat. During his monthly radio broadcast ‘Mann Ki Baat’, he said that India’s disaster management has become an example for the world. Despite the damage caused by the cyclone, the people of Kutch faced it with courage and preparedness. He also spoke about the importance of democracy and reminded listeners of June 25, when Emergency was imposed in 1975. PM Modi called on people to observe such crimes during the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations to teach young generations the importance of democracy. The prime minister announced that the monthly radio broadcast was preponed due to his official visit to the US on June 20.

    PM Modi also appealed to everyone to adopt yoga in their daily routine and make it a part of their lives. On June 21, he will lead a yoga session at the UN headquarters in New York to mark International Yoga Day.
