The jatara (carnival) at the Inavolu Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy (Mallanna) temple in Warangal is set to begin in 10 days. The administration is working quickly to ensure that all necessary amenities are in place for the comfort of the devotees.

Minister for Endowments and Environment, Konda Surekha, recently reviewed the preparations for the jatara. She instructed officials to focus on providing amenities at the temple to ensure a pleasant stay for the devotees.

The minister directed officials to organize separate queues for women, senior citizens, and physically challenged individuals. She also emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness, providing toilets, pandals, drinking water, and changing rooms. The minister mentioned plans to establish permanent amenities at the temple.

Although the main jatara lasts for three days around Sankanthi, the festivities will continue until Ugadi. The Inavolu Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy temple, built by Ayyana Devudu in the 11th Century during the Kakatiya kingdom, is dedicated to Lord Mallikarjuna, worshipped as Mylarudeva along with Balija Medalamma and Golla Kethamma.
