    The United World Wrestling (UWW) has threatened to suspend India if the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) does not hold elections within 45 days. UWW is unhappy with the lack of results from investigations into the WFI chief and has condemned the treatment and detention of wrestlers. They have called for an impartial investigation into allegations of sexual harassment by the WFI chief and some coaches. An oversight committee was formed earlier this year to investigate these allegations. The assistant secretary of the WFI, Vinod Tamar, is also named as an accused in the matter. The movement has gained support from leading opposition leaders who have visited the protest site.
