The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rain in some parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. There will also be heavy rainfall in isolated areas of Coastal & South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. This weather is due to a cyclonic circulation over south Tamil Nadu, another over Rayalaseema and adjoining north Tamil Nadu, and a trough extending from south Chhattisgarh to the Comorin area.
Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, and Rayalaseema might experience widespread light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40-50 kmph). Over the next seven days, there could be isolated to scattered rainfall in these regions with similar weather conditions.
