The Indian Meteorological Department, Hyderabad (IMD-H) officials have predicted light to moderate rains with thunder, lightning, and gusty winds in many parts of Greater Hyderabad for the next two days due to a surface trough. The sun has disappeared and temperatures are returning to normal, with a maximum of 35.9 degrees and a minimum of 23.5 degrees in the city.
IMD Hyderabad has issued a yellow alert due to the expected rainfall. The weather department forecasts five days of rain in Telangana, with thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls expected until May 18. A yellow alert has been issued for all districts in the state, except for Medak district which doesn’t have an alert for tomorrow.
On May 16, all districts except for Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Bhuvanagiri, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal, and Wanaparthy are likely to experience rainfall. The recent rains have significantly reduced temperatures across the state, with the maximum temperature dropping to 32.5 degrees Celsius in Khammam district according to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS).
