Hydraa has started night patrolling to protect the major lakes in the city. The patrolling began at midnight on Wednesday and continued until Thursday morning. Hydraa officials, along with irrigation officers, monitored lakes on the outskirts of the city. They patrolled Turkayanjal Masab Lake, Injapur Zilawar Khan Lake, and Eedulakunta Lake in Pedda Amberpet, along with smaller lakes and drains.

This action was taken because there were complaints that some individuals were trying to fill the lakes, buffer zones, and Full Tank Level (FTL) areas with soil during the night. These attempts were likely made to illegally occupy the land. In response, Hydraa officials decided to conduct night patrols to prevent such encroachments.

Irrigation AE Vamsi warned that strict action would be taken against anyone trying to fill the lakes with soil. As part of these efforts, a case was filed against a person named Satyanarayana for attempting to dump soil in Masab Lake’s FTL area.
