KTR, the Minister of IT and Industries, inaugurated a microchip development facility in Hyderabad. He mentioned the collaboration between Microchip Technology and the Telangana Mobility Valley initiative, which is led by the Telangana government. He highlighted the potential benefits for the automotive and aerospace industries from India’s growing semiconductor sector.
During the inauguration, Minister KTR congratulated Microchip for expanding their Hyderabad facility, which will create 1,000 jobs. He stated that the Telangana government, through the Telangana Academy of Skills and Knowledge (TASK), will provide training to these 1,000 individuals, and the company can select talented candidates from this pool. He also mentioned that Hyderabad saw an increase in tech-based jobs from 323,000 in 2020 to 905,000 in 2023.
Minister KTR shared that the state is launching a new initiative called Telangana Fabulous Accelerator Cloud Enablement (T-FACE) in the Large Scale Integration (VLSI) space. This initiative aims to provide training, innovation, and incubation opportunities in the semiconductor industry. He also mentioned that T-Hub is already involved in promoting innovation and incubation.
