Hyderabad: Young man gets 20 years in jail for raping minor girl

Hyderabad: A special fast-track court in LB Nagar has sentenced a 20-year-old man to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for raping a minor girl. The incident happened in Chaitanyapuri in 2023.

The accused, identified as K Mahesh, also known as Bunny, is a construction worker from Chaitanyapuri and originally from Suryapet district. According to the police, Mahesh took advantage of the girl being alone at home and sexually assaulted her.

After the victim’s family filed a complaint, the Chaitanyapuri police registered a case and arrested Mahesh. The court has now found him guilty and given him a 20-year jail sentence.
