The Telangana State Medical Council suspended the license of two private doctors for negligence. The first doctor, Karan M Patil, operated on the wrong leg of a patient. The patient complained to the District Medical and Health Officer, and an investigation found the doctor guilty of negligence. The Council suspended his license for six months.
In another case, Doctor Ch Srikanth did not refer a Dengue patient to a hospital with better facilities, resulting in the patient’s death. The patient’s family complained to the district collector, and the Medical Council investigated the case. The Council suspended the doctor’s license for three months.
Both doctors must surrender their certificates to the Council. They can file an appeal against suspension within 60 days.
