The government of Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad is focused on tackling the issue of drugs. He has warned that anyone caught with drugs will face severe consequences as he aims to make Telangana a drug-free state. Hyderabad Police Commissioner Kothakota Srinivas Reddy has also expressed similar intentions. As a result, the police conducted raids on several pubs in Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills on Sunday night. This marked the first time sniffer dogs were used in these inspections.
With the New Year approaching, pubs are getting ready for celebrations. In light of this, the police received information that drugs and ganja were being widely used during these celebrations and their sale was anticipated to be on a large scale. Consequently, the police conducted raids on pubs located on Road No. 10, 36, and 45 in Jubilee Hills. The police will provide further details about these inspections soon.
