    Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner CV Anand addressed rumors about a police lathi-charge during the Milad-un-Nabi celebrations at Charminar on Friday. He clarified that no such incident took place.

    The Commissioner explained that the confusion was caused by a fire, which started due to a short circuit in a DJ van. The fire spread quickly to a nearby diesel-laden tanker, leading to a sudden blaze.

    Anand assured that the fire was brought under control swiftly. He emphasized that the situation was managed without using force and urged citizens not to believe false reports. The police had taken necessary safety measures for the celebrations.
