Hyderabad City Police Commissioner K Sreenivasa Reddy recently honored public prosecutors, doctors, and staff members from the Women Safety and Cybercrime Department for their outstanding work during 2023–2024. He awarded them with rewards and praised them for their exemplary service. The cybercrime team was recognized for their efforts in catching criminals across different states, recovering lost money, and helping victims get refunds through court orders. Since June 2023, the Women Safety Wing and women police stations have played a crucial role in assisting domestic violence victims, with SHE teams leading to arrests and convictions.
The Bharosa Support Centre provides comprehensive support services to victims of severe violence, including counseling, medical assistance, legal aid, shelter, and rehabilitation. The AHTU and JB teams have rescued and repatriated hundreds of children.
Each official’s performance was acknowledged during the event, recognizing their talent and dedication in their roles. The collective efforts of the staff were commended for diligently addressing complaints and assisting victims without bias. Dignitaries such as DCP Women Safety and Cyber Crimes D Kavitha, DCP N Swetha, ACP RG Shivmaruthi, ACP S Chand Basha, ACP Prasanna Laxmi, Inspectors, SIs, and Legal Advisors attended the rewards distribution function.
