    Hyderabad:

    Hyderabad City police commissioner, C V Anand, emphasized the importance of a proactive approach to handle potential flashpoints in the city. He urged the Central Peace and Welfare Committee to act as peace ambassadors in their respective areas. This was discussed during a meeting with the committee members on Friday, where recent sensitive religious issues in the city were also brought up. Commissioner Anand sought the committee’s help in maintaining Hyderabad’s peaceful atmosphere and handling unexpected situations while continuing their efforts to uphold the city’s good reputation.

    During the discussions, participants condemned the disturbances caused by certain individuals. They agreed that respectful dialogue between communities is essential. There was a joint commitment to improving communication between communities and law enforcement to ensure that any issues are quickly and effectively addressed.

    Further plans were made for community engagement activities to foster better understanding and cooperation among different religious groups. The committee stressed the need for preventive measures, such as educational programs, to promote tolerance and respect for diversity. They also spoke about ways to raise awareness about the harmful effects of misinformation and rumors, which can sometimes increase tension within communities.

    The Peace and Welfare Committee promised full support in ensuring the upcoming festivals are peaceful. They also committed to fighting against anti-social activities and harmful behaviors in society. Additionally, the committee pledged to organize workshops aimed at promoting unity, inclusiveness, and proactive conflict resolution.

    In conclusion, the meeting reaffirmed the collective commitment to maintaining peace and harmony in Hyderabad. The goal is to ensure that all communities feel secure, respected, and valued.

    The meeting was attended by key officials, including Vikram Singh Mann, Additional CP for Law & Order and Chairman of the Central Peace and Welfare Committee, along with other senior police officials like P Viswa Prasad, Additional CP for Traffic, and S Chaitanya Kumar, DCP, SB, Hyderabad City. Over 350 members of the Peace Committee, including leaders like General Secretary Srikishan Sharma and Patron Hafiz Muzaffar Hussain, were also present.
