Hyderabad Police to Challenge Allu Arjun's Interim Bail in Stampede Case
The Hyderabad police have decided to challenge the interim bail granted to actor Allu Arjun in connection with the tragic stampede incident at Sandhya Theater. Authorities argue that granting him temporary bail was inappropriate and could set a problematic precedent for similar cases in the future.
In their petition, the police’s legal team has questioned how bail could be granted while proceedings are still ongoing. They emphasized that not contesting this decision now might lead to legal complications in other cases. Senior officials believe it is necessary to challenge the bail to avoid future hurdles in the judicial process.
To address this, the police plan to file a petition in the Supreme Court, seeking the cancellation of Allu Arjun’s interim bail. While they have the option to approach the division bench in Hyderabad, they believe the Supreme Court will provide a quicker resolution to the matter.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun’s legal team has argued that it was the police’s negligence that contributed to the stampede. They claim the authorities failed to properly handle the situation, which ultimately led to the tragic incident.
However, the police refute these claims, stating that they had cooperated fully with the actor’s team. According to them, the issue arose because Allu Arjun’s entourage did not follow police instructions, which escalated the situation.
The police also hold both the theater management and the actor responsible for the incident. They allege that individuals associated with Allu Arjun pushed and shoved ticket holders to make space for his team, intensifying the chaos. Additionally, they claim that the actor’s personal security staff contributed to the disorder.
If the Supreme Court accepts the police’s petition to revoke Allu Arjun’s bail, it could spark even greater media attention and public debate about the incident.
