Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, there is a war of words between the Congress and the BRS. BRS leaders called Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy as ‘Gumpu Mestry’, and Revanth responded by calling them ‘Billa Ranga’ and ‘Charles Shobraj’. He said that they claim they will overthrow his government, but he is ready to face them. Revanth also said that he is working to reconstruct Telangana which was destroyed by the BRS government.
Revanth spoke at a convention attended by AICC chief Mallikarjun Kharge and other Congress leaders. He criticized the BRS leaders for questioning the government before it had completed 50 days in power. He also mentioned that the Congress will launch its Lok Sabha poll campaign next week.
Revanth agreed with KTR’s statement that they should have changed some BRS MLAs before the elections, but he also said that the BRS family should have stayed out of the polls. He clarified that Rythu Bandhu funds will be distributed to farmers by the end of February, despite the bad financial situation caused by the BRS government.
