    Hyderabad: Theft at Jewellery Store

    The Hyderabad police have filed a case against eight employees of Sri Krishna Jewellers Pvt Ltd, located in Banjara Hills, for allegedly stealing gold bars worth Rs 6 crore. The theft came to light during an internal audit conducted by the company. Following the discovery, the management lodged a complaint with the police.

    During the company’s internal investigation, two employees, Uday Kumar and B Srikanth, were found to have stolen the gold bars. Upon further questioning, Srikanth revealed that Uday Kumar, along with several other employees, had been involved in the theft over a long period of time.

    The other employees involved in the theft were identified as Chintu, Satya, Ajay, Tinku, and Chandra. These individuals were allegedly carrying out the theft under the orders of the store manager, Sukhetu Shah.

    Based on a complaint from Vijay Kumar, the company’s HR manager, the police registered a case. After conducting a preliminary investigation, the case was handed over to the Hyderabad Central Crime Station (CCS).

    In a related development, Sukhetu Shah’s wife, Sruti Shah, had earlier filed a missing person report with the Banjara Hills police. She claimed that her husband had been missing for a month and had left a letter and a video behind. She said he had been facing harassment at work over a financial issue. The police are currently investigating both the theft and the manager’s disappearance.
