The GHMC Enforcement Vigilance and Disaster Management Department has imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on My Home Tycoon shopping mall in Begumpet for charging a parking fee of Rs 10 from a customer. The mall was found guilty of violating GO 168 and Telangana Apartments Acts and Rules, 28, 24 of 1987, which prohibit the collection of parking fees even if the customer presents a bill. The action was taken by the GHMC officials based on a complaint made on Twitter by a person named Jay Surana. Despite being aware of the rules, Myhome Tycoon Mall continued to charge parking fees from Surana, prompting him to file a complaint with GHMC through Twitter.
