Hyderabad experienced a sudden downpour on Thursday morning, marking the first Northwest Monsoon rain after winter. The day started with cloudy skies and mist, which turned into a refreshing rainfall that surprised many residents.
By 10 am, several areas in the city recorded rainfall. Balanagar had 4 mm of rainfall, Moulali had 4 mm, Rajendranagar had 3.5 mm, and Gachibowli had 2.5 mm.
Light showers were also observed in other parts of the city, including Saroornagar, Cherlapalli, Sivarampalle, Quthbullahpur, and Khairatabad.
The Telangana State Development Planning Society attributes this sudden change in weather to a western disturbance. They predict isolated rains in the city for the next two days.
