On Saturday evening, Hyderabad experienced heavy rains and thunderstorms, with some areas like Miyapur and Kukatpalli even having hailstorms for a brief period of time. This sudden downpour caused huge traffic jams in areas like Punjagutta, Ameerpet, and Towlichoki, leaving people struggling to reach their destinations. The residential colonies in Miyapur were particularly affected by the hailstorms, with locals fearing damage to their parked vehicles. However, the intensity of the hailstorm reduced within minutes, providing some relief to the residents.

According to IMD officials, the state is likely to experience scattered thunder, lightning, and gusty winds along with hail and heavy rains for the next two days. Charminar, Khairatabad, Kukatpally, LB Nagar, Secunderabad, and Serilingampally Zones are expected to witness rainfall or thundershowers in the late night and early hours.
