He spoke as the chief guest at the International Customs Day-2025 event, organized by Hyderabad Customs on Saturday. The event took place at Dr. MCR HRD Institute with the theme, “Customs Delivering on its Commitment to Efficiency, Security, and Prosperity.”

International Customs Day was introduced by the World Customs Organisation (WCO) to acknowledge the hard work of customs officers. These officers play a crucial role in preventing illegal trade, protecting national economies, and ensuring smooth international transactions. Additionally, customs efforts support domestic industries and promote economic growth through international trade.

During the event, customs officials, trade associations, and government agencies reaffirmed their commitment to efficiency, security, and prosperity. With ongoing reforms and advanced technology in customs operations, India’s global trade position is expected to improve, strengthening its role in the international market.
