A fire broke out in a chemical godown at Nampally on Monday morning. Seven workers died from burn injuries on the spot, and some others were trapped inside the godown.
The chemical factory was in the Bazarghat area. The police had already sent four fire fighters to extinguish the flames from inside the factory.

The police believe that the fire may have been caused by a chemical leakage. An investigation has been started to determine the exact cause of the major fire in the morning.
