    In a bid to address the recent judgment’s impact on their nominations to the Telangana state Legislative Council, BRS leaders Dr Sravan Dasoju and Kurra Satyanarayana have appealed to Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan for reconsideration.

    Dr Sravan Dasoju and Kurra Satyanarayana, speaking to the media at the Raj Bhavan, expressed their discontent over the rejection of their nominations by the Raj Bhavan, despite being nominated by the state cabinet on July 31, 2023, under the Governor’s quota.

    They emphasized that their approach to the High Court stemmed from the belief that Constitutional provisions were infringed upon in the dismissal of their nominations. Notably, the court’s ruling highlighted the violations in the nominations of Prof Kodandaram and Ameer Ali Khan, appointed to the Council by the previous Congress government and approved by the Governor.
