Hyderabad is set for a major transformation as the Telangana government has announced a massive investment of Rs 15,000 crore to improve the city’s infrastructure. This initiative aims to make Hyderabad one of the most advanced cities in the world.
State IT & Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu shared this exciting news during the inauguration of Microsoft’s new campus in Gachibowli on Thursday. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was also present at the event. The minister explained that this investment is not just about improving roads and buildings but about reshaping Hyderabad into a global technology hub.
The government has planned a large-scale infrastructure development project to boost the city’s growth and attract international investors. Sridhar Babu stated that this plan will improve the quality of life for Hyderabad’s residents and accelerate economic progress.
He also highlighted that Microsoft’s decision to establish an AI Centre in Hyderabad shows the city’s growing importance in the world of artificial intelligence and technology. Hyderabad has already produced top tech leaders like Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen. The city is not just keeping up with global technological advancements—it is leading the way.
To support this vision, Hyderabad is focusing on research and education. The city now has 52 world-class research centres, over 30 universities, and six Centres of Excellence. With a skilled workforce of six million people, the city is on track to become a global leader in technology and industry.
The Telangana government is also working on a major digital initiative to connect nine million households to the digital world. This will ensure that every citizen benefits from Hyderabad’s technological progress. Sridhar Babu described this as a historic moment for the city, stating that the government is not just building infrastructure but creating a lasting legacy for future generations.
