The first day of the ‘Praja Palana’ program in Telangana received a great response from the people. They lined up at government offices to submit applications for the six guarantees that will be implemented within three months. However, there were some delays due to a shortage of staff.

Ministers and MLAs assured the public that applications will continue to be accepted even after January 6 at Gram Panchayats and municipal offices. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized that the government will ensure that the benefits reach those who truly need them.

To handle the increasing number of visitors, officials were instructed to open a counter for every 100 people and receive applications. In addition, applications for new ration cards and cash benefits for the Indiramma housing scheme were also accepted at these counters.

On the first day, over 80,000 applications were received from 141 municipalities. A control room was also set up to address citizen queries and monitor municipality performance.
