Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has reminded consumers about the deadline for the One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme. Ashok Reddy, the managing director of HMWSSB, announced that the last date to benefit from this scheme is October 31. He urged people to take advantage of this opportunity to settle their long-pending water bills.
The OTS scheme was launched by the State government to help people clear their overdue water bills. Under this scheme, if consumers pay the principal amount they owe, they will receive a discount on late fees and interest. This is seen as a great chance for users to clear long-standing debts.
The scheme, which started on October 1, will continue until October 31. Payments can be made at Water Board offices, MeeSeva centers, AP online centers, or through digital platforms like PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, NEFT, RTGS, BPPS, and the Water Board’s official website. Consumers can also pay through Line Men using online methods.
To make things easier, users can scan a QR code to check their dues, the amount to be paid, and the discount they will receive. If anyone has questions about the OTS scheme, they can contact customer care at 155313 for help.
