Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) executive director, Mayank Mittal, recently inspected the Khajakunta Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) located in Kukatpally.

The sewage treatment plant is part of the larger STP project being implemented by HMWSSB. It is being developed under Package 3, with a treatment capacity of 20 million liters per day (MLD).

During his visit, Mayank Mittal emphasized the need to speed up the final stages of construction. He suggested that additional work, such as building internal roads, installing proper lighting, and enhancing the premises’ appearance through beautification, should be undertaken. He also recommended constructing administration buildings and staff quarters to manage the plant’s operations efficiently.
