The Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) has announced plans to extend the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board’s (HMWSSB) one-time settlement scheme (OTS-2024) within the Cantonment limits.

During a meeting held on Friday, the SCB members approved the One Time Settlement (OTS) scheme. This scheme offers water consumers a 10% discount on their total outstanding bill as of the current date. The discount will be available from November 15 to December 31. Residents of the Cantonment area are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to clear their overdue water bills.

To benefit from the scheme, consumers must provide a guarantee letter, promising to pay their bills on time for the next 24 months. If they fail to do so, the benefits they receive under this scheme will be canceled. According to a senior SCB officer, the OTS scheme was introduced to help recover large amounts of unpaid bills from individual consumers.
