The Telangana State Government is preparing to remove barricades in front of Pragati Bhavan. During Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s rule, high-rise barricades were installed and heavy security was deployed, turning Pragati Bhavan into a fort. People were not allowed to visit, and restrictions were imposed on their movement and the organization of rallies and protests. Now, under the leadership of CM A Revanth Reddy, the government has decided to remove all barricades. Pragati Bhavan will be renamed De BR Ambedkar Samman Bhavan, and a Praja Darbar will be held every day to address people’s grievances. The police have started removing the barricades as instructed by the government, and it will be completed in one or two days.
