The Telangana High Court has made an important decision, ordering a petitioner to pay a fine of ₹1 crore for misleading the court. The ruling was given by Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka, who strongly criticized the petitioner’s actions. The court took a firm stand against illegal attempts to acquire valuable government land.
The petitioner had approached a different bench while hiding the fact that a related case was already pending. The court found this deceptive and condemned such practices. Justice Bheemapaka made it clear that misleading the judiciary by filing petitions in this way is unacceptable.
The judge postponed a plea filed by V. Rami Reddy from Nampally. Reddy had requested the court to direct officials not to interfere with his possession of 9.11 acres of land in Kandikal village, Bandlaguda mandal, Hyderabad district. He argued that any action taken against him without following legal procedures was illegal and unfair.
Reddy also wanted the court to declare that the authorities’ refusal to register the sale deeds of the land was unlawful. He claimed that the officials were blocking the registration based on letters from the tahsildar and other revenue officers, despite no official notification under Section 22A of the Registration Act.
