The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This is due to a series of depressions in the Bay of Bengal expected over the next two days.

In Telangana, districts like Kumrambhim Asifabad, Mancherial, and Peddapalli can expect heavy rain with thunder and lightning. Residents have been warned to prepare for strong, gusty winds as the weather worsens.

Continuous rainfall over the last four days has caused streams and bends to overflow, filling ponds in both states. In the Godavari region, the flood flow has reached a height of 48 feet near Bhadrachalam, leading officials to issue a second danger warning.
