    The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for the two Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, starting today.

    The Amaravati Meteorological Center has reported the presence of southwesterly and westerly winds in the lower troposphere. There is also a possibility of a low-pressure system forming in the East, Central, and North Bay of Bengal, which could further impact the weather.

    Southwesterly winds are currently being observed in Yanam and the lower tropical areas of Andhra Pradesh.

    Light to moderate rains are expected in some parts of North Coastal Andhra. Thunderstorms and strong winds, ranging from 30 to 40 km per hour, are also possible.
